When Black is burned

Book design, Printed object
When black is burned is a series on the margins, somewhere between reality and fiction, poetry and everyday life, that plays with the codes of abstraction and photographic figuration. The book is dense, with no white space, and every detail echoes the colourimetry of the works: a yellow stitching thread, a green cardboard edge, and mass-coloured paper for the text. An immersion in colour, at the heart of Marguerite Bornhauser's work. Design of the box for the limited edition print run. Limited to 15 copies. Made of wood by cabinetmaker Amelie Wagner.
