Catalog exhibition of Jan Van Eyck, presented at the Louvre Museum in Paris from March 20 to June 17, 2024. The exhibition centers on the painting La Vierge au Chancelier Rollin, following its first restoration since its arrival at the Louvre in 1800. The catalog is structured around this masterpiece, with large close-ups of the painting punctuating the different sections of the book. The back of the panel—also restored—features green marbling, which is reproduced on the endpapers. The red thread binding echoes the color palette of Van Eyck’s works, often dominated by rich red and blue tapestries.
