The graphic design of the book draws inspiration from the fanzines and other editorial objects that Valerie Phillips has been creating for years. The choice of materials and colors is directly influenced by the pop aesthetic she develops through her photographic work. Two sticker sheets included at the end of the book pay homage to the hybrid collages she creates using her personal collection of stickers and various kinds of tape. They also serve as an invitation for the reader to continue customizing the book, making each copy a unique object. The book is the result of a close collaboration with the artist.
